
Antwerp Euro Terminal (AET) which is part of the Grimaldi
Group commissioned Autotrakker Ltd to design and develop a
system capable of handling phase 2 of their expansion of AET.
From an initial volume of 350,000 vehicles in 2003 this
grew to 475,000 in 2004 and is forecast to reach 750,000 in
2005. Autotrakker implemented it's innovative

to handle all the activities within the compound in
partnership with Softship AG who provided the back
office system.
In addition to vehicles, AET also handle Containers, Ro-Ro
and General Cargo.
Since the launch of Park ‘n’ Mark in January 2003 at AET
the system has undergone considerable user enhancements.
This has enabled AET to maximise benefits in terms of
efficiency and cost.

Key Elements of Park ‘n’ Mark system:
· Mobile data capture for recording and managing all in
compound movements in a paperless environment.
· Data security and integrity use of non-volatile memory
= no data loss.
· Reads bar code labels using both laser and imaging
technology.
· Automatically verifies correct vehicle selection.
· Each Mobile Handheld PC can hold circa 30,000 records,
and may be operated in batch/RF modes.
· Ability to record the precise location of a vehicle
using GPS based technology.
· System can work with existing grid marking.
· Supports sequential parking with optional automatic
verification of its location.
· Fully operational ‘Remote site’ based system that is
served by a Central User System.
